A bug's life!

This picture was clicked by me few months ago outside my balcony. This multicolored bug was spotted resting on the grill. Seemed as if it was wondering how on earth did it ever reach there! I just couldn't stop myself from capturing this unique bug i found. I don't own any SLR, but sure a simple digital camera does the needful.
As i captured the bug into my lens, the bug stared at me and spoke, "Hey dude! Watching a bug for the first time? Listen, i don't have much time. I can fly away any moment. The only belief that makes me sit here still is that i see you as a harmless guy, so i am sure you won't harm me. That's the reason i let you click a picture of me. But before i flee from here, i would like to say that you humans would never understand what a bug's life is. It's much more wonderful and simpler than you humans could ever dare to imagine. What fascinates me more is you people have progressed technologically but it's a shame to say that humans have shred their humanity and are being insane towards our own nature which was earlier shared by all of us equally. You guys think you rule this world? Quite to the surprise, you have even achieved this feat with the power of technology. But take my words, it won't last long. Not very long! The nature will show it's wrath upon you. And the consequences have to be faced by not humans alone, but all other innocent creatures. What you humans thinks is yours, was of somebody else earlier and will be of some other in the future. Don't be content with the fake happiness considering all of it as yours. Learn to share as we do. Learn to live as we live. The world would then be a better place to live in. Oh! And thanks for the click. Do publish it in some magazine."
And it flew away instantly as i focused away from him, still pondering on the thoughts. The bug really explained a great deal of life within those few seconds. It was then i decided that i would pen down his words in my article when i post this photo of him. The bug's really beautiful! Ain't he?

The path towards the light

This picture was captured by me last year when i had visited one of the holiday homes at a hill station. The picture clearly demonstrates a path towards the light. We all walk various paths throughout our lives, we conquer mountains, but most of the times we miss out on our own path - our own life! No matter the time, no matter the situation, we all must occasionally give time to ourselves. It helps in giving us the inner peace. We are then able to win more complex challenges with a free mind, rather than a filled-up mind. Free your mind by giving time to yourself. Free yourself to the nature, and it's love.

The transition of the world to selfishness

God created us for free, and we created ourselves as selfish! Today, whatever we do, whatever we accomplish and whatever we achieve has all got our own selfish motives behind it. We have long lost humanity. The devil of selfish desires rules over us. We wear "Being human" t-shirts, but we don't act like humans anymore.
Today, after completing most of my studies, i came to a conclusion that there is no dearth of jobs in this world. The word "recession" is being openly used by companies to utilize raw talent at cheap rates. The MBA's which were considered to be of prestige and value are now being compared to graduates or even high-school pass-outs for that matter. The reason for this decline in the MBA degree is simple. Government, which is wanting to earn more profits is allowing a large number of institutes to open up their courses and award MBA degrees. Due to the recent rise in the number of institutes the value and level of MBA education has been declining. The quality is lost. MBA is seen as a profit-making tool for organizations. The victims are none other than a few thousands of deserving students!
Who is to be blamed? Country? Government? Organizations? Institutes? or is it us? And the case is not just with the MBA's - it's the same with Engineers, Scientists etc. The manufacturing power of India is declining so rapidly. Most of our economy is now governed by the service sector. We only import and sell. But why not export? or Produce and sell? We have the manpower. We have the resources. We have the planning. We are self-sufficient. So where exactly do we go wrong?
We only go wrong at our thinking. We always tend to think about our profits/benefits/advantages before implementing any plan. We never focus on the long term perspective, we only focus on short term profits. We have grown mentally ill. We only depend upon technologies to give us solutions. But we forgot that technologies were invented just to assist us in our work activities. Where are our thinking hats? Why do we depend on other companies/countries to assist us in our activities?
Awaken yourself. Rise above your boundaries. See beyond your horizon. Only then you will see the world. And you can proudly talk to your death and say, "I have lived my life, now i want to enjoy this journey; you can take me any day"

Raise above your emotions - 2

In the first part, i have already explained what are emotions, how do they develop, and what are the consequences. Now i would quickly like to get to the basics. I hope it will give you the clear idea as to how emotions rule in our life.

Now, talking about emotions, first let us bifurcate the emotional levels according to the ages:

Child     -    00 - 12 years
Playful   -    13 - 25 years
Mature  -    26 - 40 years
Mentor  -    40 - lifetime

For a child, most of the emotions are associated with the parents, as the parents  are the major caretakers of the child throughout this journey. Parents look after every need of their child and fulfill the most essential ones. In return, child becomes more and more attached and dependent on the parents for his every need. He is angry on the parent for not fulfilling his desires, also, he is happy when his desires are fulfilled by his parents.

In the playful age, the child is now raised just above the dependent level. He starts exploring the surrounding more. He makes new contacts. Attachment with parents is a little less than it was in the child age. There are hormonal changes which develops many more feelings and desires within the person. He finds love. And with love, the related thousand and one sub-emotions. Love, anger, jealousy, care, respect etc start developing through the various experiences the person has over a period of time. Most the time, the person is occupied within himself. This stage can also be called as self-exploratory stage.

In the mature age, the playful nature of the person starts diminishing. The person starts behaving in a responsible manner. He becomes aware about his life and priorities. He takes decision about how he has to live his own life. This is the stage where the person develops his career and work based on the decisions taken by him. The most important phase of his life comes when he has to take decision about expanding his family. Then comes the marriage and kids. And thus, the added responsibilities. He has to deal not only with his work and career, but also his marriage-partner, kids and the entire family. It is very important how a person manages his work-life balance in this stage.

In the mentor age, the mature person is now experienced with most of the worldly experiences. Now, this is the stage where the person mentors, his children and future generation about the experiences about this world. He trains them and guides them to follow lifestyle that would result in their happiness. This is the stage where the person does not care about acquiring but believes only in giving. It can also be termed as self-realization stage.

These were the different behavior and emotional patterns that a person displays over his lifetime. It is very important for us to realize our roles and duties in this life and do our best to achieve them to fulfill the reason for sheer existence of our life.

Raise above your emotions - 1

EMOTIONS ! We all have it within us. And believe me or not, these "emotions" control most of our daily activities. Whatever actions we perform, are influenced greatly by the emotions within us. We develop these emotions over a period of time. The emotions perceived by an individual are different for different individuals. Rarely, we find any common emotions attached with two different persons. This is due to the individual differences. The different experiences by each individual are responsible for the difference in emotional levels. Consider an example of watching a movie. We all have our own choices when watching a movie (like action, adventure, romantic, comedy, drama etc). We tend to get attached to different genres depending on our emotions. A particular movie or a particular scene in a movie, may have pleasant or averse effects depending on the emotions present within us related to that particular scene or movie. We develop the emotions right from our childhood where we learn about things, develop ideas, thoughts etc. Such ideas and thoughts become instilled in our sub-conscious mind over a period of time due to repetitive exposure of such thoughts and beliefs.

Now if something happens which contradicts our thoughts, ideas and beliefs; then we tend to get sad and maybe even cry to show a sign of displeasure. Or vice-versa, if something turns out to be in exact fashion of our thoughts and which fulfills our expectations, then we tend to become happy. We should try that emotions should not rule our decisions in life. Many a times, emotions stand in the way of our success. Therefore, decisions need to be taken based on pure logic and benefit of all. However, in this materialistic world, humans tend to get attached with emotions, and there is no escape for a normal human to escape the clutches of emotions. However, we can certainly try to control them and raise above our emotional level.

The falling leaves

"Falling leaves" usually reminds us of the autumn. The leaves of the trees start shedding in this season and the roads are covered with leaves all over. This scene looks beautiful to many. It makes up for a romantic weather. These were the leaves which were once hanging on to the branches of the tree. Due to withering, they fall off.

Now, you will be surprised at this striking similarity between the shedding of leaves and a person quitting his bad habits. Consider a human. He has his own habits of doing things. Over a period of time, he acquires a learning experience from his surrounding. In this learning phase, he inculcates various habits within himself. Most of the habits form the routine, whereas few habits tend to change randomly. These are timely and temporary. Such temporary habits - i call them as "tembits" - are influenced by the people and environment surrounding us. We humans have this ability of adapting to various cultures and lifestyles. This unknowingly happens with us. Don't agree? Well, consider yourself. Look where you stand at present. Analyze your environment, people surrounding you, and the situations you face. You are presently at a point where you were directed with the factors i mentioned - Environment, People and Situations. These factors were a major reason for you to develop the tembits. However, as you move further and there is a change in your environment or you change the group of people you interact with or there is a change in the situations you face; this is the time when you drop your tembits or in other words, "shed your leaves". It is continuous but a prolonged process. You shed your leaves but also you know that you will be bearing new leaves soon enough.

The karmic cycle !

The "karmic" cycle, or in other words, the cycle of our actions. The "karma" in Hindu mythology, refers to the actions we perform - be it good or bad. It is said that whatever we get in our lives is purely based on our previous actions performed. We all must be aware of the famous proverb from our childhood - "As you sow, so shall you reap". That's exactly what i want to explain here.

How many times in our lives have we been dejected for the wrong happenings in our lives? How many times did we think that "WHY ME"? Many times. At-least for a normal human being on this planet earth. We may have been good to people recently and still the people have been grunting at us. Similarly, some people who have been really bad in their ways may escape getting good results in their lives. So what's wrong in us behaving in the same bad manner? Why not become bad as others? But we fail to recognize that the results we are getting may not necessarily be the fruits of our recent deeds. It may be related to a distant past where we may have been rude to others. Also, not necessarily, the people who have been bad and getting good results, will continue getting good results throughout their lives. Once the balance of good and bad karma destabilizes, the fate turns over you. You have to face the harshness if you have been harsh towards others. Similarly, you will be blessed with the goodness if you have been good with others. To explain it simple natural terms, when we were born in this world, we did not have any energy of our own. Whatever energy we possess is what we have got from this world, the nature around us. Obviously, the actions we perform are the result of the energy within us. Ultimately, no matter how much ever energy we possess, we have to return it back to this world. Everyone gets a chance in their lives to take a decision. A decision that will forever change their lives. Such decisions are usually taken by us considering our selfishness, to be frank. And seriously, there is no harm to be selfish in this cruel world. But also, care should be taken that our selfishness does not lead to the disruption in other people's lives. The decision we take should be in best regards to ourselves as well as others.

The cycle of karma - usually revolves around the "good" and the "bad". However, if i try to explain these things in details, many people would be confused. The reason behind this is that different people have different perception towards things. Like, what may be "good" to some might be "bad" to others, and vice-versa. Also, with this, fast changing world, the definition of "good" and "bad" has been changing rapidly.

To conclude, all i can say is "Good begets good. Bad begets bad." The fruits of our actions will be realized by us sometime in our lives, if not presently, maybe later in our lives, if not later in this life, maybe next life! But the cycle of karma continues and it won't stop for you, all what you can do is control your actions to cycle your life.

My First Blog !

I was never used to blogging before this. Actually speaking, i was too lazy to even type a single word, although i had tons of thoughts in my mind which i could have shared earlier. I never knew the power of sharing until recently. We say, there are instances where you learn things on your own, you need not need to take any special coaching for that. Exactly, the same thing happened with me.
It's been years of experience for me, the worldly experiences, to be precise. Knowing the reality of the trending world, and still not knowing where i am heading. But i am sure, wherever i end up, i will make something good out of it, or at least make others feel good. That's the kind of positivity within me. I have known many different persons all my life. Some positive. Some negative. And some ambiguous. It has been a long tale to tell you all.
But i will try my best to do it with this blog of mine. I promise to make your every read "WORTH" your time. Be it a small word or a long paragraph. Everything i write here will be worth your read i promise.
